Notes: Jon was driving for Century Motorsport, alongside team mates Nathan Freke, Mark Farmer and Dominic Paul. Jon set a blistering pace to secure pole position at the front of the TCR field, with a new lap record and fastest ever Ginetta lap of the Dubai Autodrome. However, in the race the engine failed after just 8 hours. After 3 hours in the pits changing the complete engine and drivetrain, the team got back into the race and were still able to finish 4th in class at the finish.

Notes: Jon was driving for SPY Motorsport as team mate to Mark Farmer in a hired Caterham R300. Jon qualified 4th overall out of 63 cars in wet conditions.
In the hour-long first race, Jon lost time after getting caught up in a refuelling fire in the pit lane, losing 20 seconds. Jon set fastest lap and was able to recover to a 5th placed finish, just 6 seconds behind the race winners.
In race two, Jon was battling for the race lead when the left rear wheel came loose, causing an unscheduled pitstop and a 15th placed finish. Jon set fastest lap once again.

However, the alternator failed in both of the 1.5 hour races, causing early retirements.

Notes: Jon rejoined his fellow 2008 British GT Champion James Gornall in the Brixia team's Aston Martin DBRS9. The team was one of only 3 to run on Pirelli tyres, which turned out to be around 2 seconds per lap slower than the cars running on Michelin tyres. Despite qualifying only 28th, Jon and James were able to haul the car up to 16th overall by the end of the race, and finished as top Pirelli runner.
